New G50 Shifter Boot / Speedster Style

I always disliked the lack of gear boot coverage on the G50 Carrera.
I therefore sent Don Le ” Dallas Custom Steering Wheel” some pics of the OEM Boot found on the 89 Speedster with a request to replicate it.
HE CREATED THE FOLLOWING …..
This was made “slim” and designed to come up to only the neck of OEM Knob and made available for $95.

I want a short rubber accordian boot. I loath the long red boot a PO installed. Is a short rubber one available for the G50 in 87?

The 87 - 89 G50 carrera came factory with the small leather boot.
The rubber accordian style came factory on the 86 car.
Heres the link to the part you talk of :

The description says through 86, is there any reason it won't fit neatly on my 87? I know the trans is different but shifter too?

The G50 cars have a different shifter assembly as well, so there isn't a good way to mount the earlier style rubber boot. I'm in the process of a console delete, and figuring out a way to " backdate" my shift boot.

Westcoast- same situation! I'm ditching the console and AC next year, didn't want a bubba B&M boot.
