ATO fuse panel w/Headlight relays!

Ok, this seems to be what most folks want. I now have available an ATO fuse panel equipped with relays for high wattage headlight bulbs. With this installation you can run up to 100 watt bulbs without frying the wiring harness or switches. You get the advantage of using modern ATO fuses (fuses, smart fuses or circuit breakers), get the headlight relay kit preinstalled and mostly wired and still have a spare fuse for future adds! Of course it bolts to the stock fuse panel base.

Some pictures.

The short panel will be completely covered by the original fuse panel cover. The one with the relays will extend on the right end about 2 inches so you will have to modify the fuse cover slightly to clear the panel base.I have had one of the short panels in my car since 2004 with no problems. In fact, when I installed it, several "ghost" electrical problems vanished!

Line forms to the right, please!

Fred
How do you connect the wiring?
The connections are like in the original fuse block or it is needed to crimp female spade terminals in all the cables ?

Just a comment....ot two. Great work and idea.....

But the list Nazis have been working overtime. Might want to consider the FS forum and a price.

Fred, my offer is still open.

Fuse Panels

Every one that was on the first thread will be contacted in order. I
felt that this development deserved a fresh thread. Don't worry I will be in touch!

Yes, you will have to add female crimp connectors to each wire. If you get the panel with the headlight relays, you will also have to run a +12v power lead from the battery to the red wire.

For you purists, the production panels will have a brown ground wire. The one in the picture is the prototype and I did not have any brown at the moment.

This looks to be an awesome product, but I want to hear about how hard it will be to re-wire all of those terminals, especially when you have no room like my 72. If it's easier then I think then I'm on board. When someone has this in hand and has an earlier car, please let us know.
Thanks.
P.S. I asked a question about the three panel fuse block in the engine compartment in the other thread, did you make one for this?

Sorry, no 3 fuse panel yet. I am just starting to work on a front panel for
the early cars. Done carefully it is not too difficult.

Fred was kind enough to send me one of his fuse panels for evaluation and I was summarily impressed.

This is a VERY well made unit and should be a no-brainer for any of these cars using the OEM ceramic fuses which have always been troublesome, especially in humid climates.

Fred, can you make a stripped down version of the original with just 10 circuits? That should be all I need for the track beast.

Maybe, let me think on it for a bit. Would you want the short panel to bolt onto the same stock mounting bracket? Would you want the fuse holders centered or on one end? With or without relays?

Fred, I will leave the stock bracket so your panel is fine. Fuse holders bunched towards the rear.
