thank you shakin joe!!!! now what?

about a month ago, i bumped into shaking joes thread about losing 438 lbs in two days. welllllll. needless to say my car is completely gutted and feeling very fast.
when the deka battery and fiberglass bumpers get installed, i will be down by 475.28lbs.
i cant thank you enough joe, the spread sheet was so great to work with, first cherry picking, and then making more detiremined decisions ect.
my long term goal is break the 2000lb. mark on an 88 carrera tagra, roof left at home.
assuming 240 horses because of wong chip, intake, exhaust mods
this will give me about the same hp/weight ratio as a 2000 turbo according to one source stating 8.2 as that ratio.
so here is the question whats gonna get me there, and calling on all members w/ specific weigh saving of further body alterations to list their knowledge.
my car feels awesome already, i cant wait for MORE!!!
sound off everybody.....
my ideas:
r style windows =24lbs pass&driver
lose the wing=20
rest of the ac system=34
r door handles=4

just kidding.

If you are enjoying it, why not just drive it for a while and see where that takes you?

Pics?

I dont know people are sourcing there titanium parts form but i can tell you this about titanium in general. I do a lot of work for my schools Formula SAE team, we have some titanium parts and i know they were very expensive. In the order or 2 to 7 times as much as an equivalent aluminum part. Some of the more readily available stuff like our titanium exhaust was cheaper but still way more than an aluminum counter part.

regards
Dave

Titanium has its problems. It is stiffer than Aluminium but still fatigues like it. It also suffers from gauling of threads more than steel would. It is hard to machine for several reasons which makes it expensive.

Steel, if you can keep it from rusting, is still a great choice in many applications. Stainless steel fasteners help the corrosion problem while retaining the fatigue benefits.

Steel also has nice properties as far as tempering go. It can be annealed, welded, machined, etc., then re-hardened.

I also loved Joe's thread, it was very well done. I'm very impressed with how much weight you have lost as well. What weight are you at now? It would be good to know how much till that 2,000 lb mark.

I am quite a weight enthusiast myself and I'm really curious as to how you cope with your car. Mine is also my daily driver so it would be good to see what it is like to get to your level. Mine is not as light as yours but I would like to get there some day.

Also pics would be great!
Seems like you're getting to or already passed the clock removal, passenger visor removal, etc
