R-12
Hello All,
I used to be a tech for a Pontiac dealership in the 80's. I joined and retired out of the Navy 2 years ago. Problem: I still have 8 1lb cans of R-12 just sitting in my garage next to my roll-away. I have no license to sell them and Is there anyone out there would could use them ????? How can I get them unloaded to someone who can use them legally???? Thanks

You don't need a license to sell but you need a 609 cert to buy (and use) or the buyer asserts that he is buying for re-sale.

You can sell them for at least $25/each on Craigslist in your local area. Check eBay out for current prices.

Buyer's can purchase from you as long as they disclose the use of the R12 will be done by a licensed facility. That's how I got mine.

I just filled my 3.2 car a few months back with R12 and the tech told me a clean 30 lb tank goes for several hundred dollars. I ended up with about 42 oz. and $150 bill.
