seat upholstery material

i bought these seats a couple of years ago to replace the recaro aftermarket seats that i had in my 78 930. the drivers seat has wear on the bolster...not seen in the picture below...and is torn. the material is very fragile and cannot be resewn. i was considering having a local upholsterer remove the back panel from the seat and resew the torn bolster section...and then use as close a vinyl pattern as i could find to replace the removed rear section. however i would prefer to buy new correct vinyl. anyone know or have an idea of where i could find the original german vinyl pattern? i really like this pattern and do not wish to go with the perforated vinyl seat combination? thanks for any input..

I don't have access to a Panorama mag right now, but IIRC there is a company that advertises the correct material for your seats. It's a standing ad that is in every issue I've seen in the past few years. Maybe you can get hold of a copy and contact them. Hope this helps.

I hope esample is right. I searched everywhere for that basketweave pattern and always found it NLA.

thanks for the suggestions. i did contact Tony at Autobahn Interiors. i sent him a couple of pictures and he can get the bolster material. BUT he did state that the vinyl material for the seating area...block or hatch embossing...is no longer available. i ordered the bolster material and it is on the way. my seats are in excellent condition and i did not wish to order new covers.
