6x7 vs 8x9, Black vs Polished
If anyone is wondering what the differences look like between stock wheels and polished 8x9s here you go. I was switching out my wheels for storage. Going to touch up the 8x9s (or go with a RSR finish) and decided to snap some pictures for anyone contemplating it to compare. Here you go,

On your car, the polished look is the best, IMO.
Great looking 911 either way.

I don't know. The polished looks nice but more on the bling side. The black looks more Porsche correct. It just depends what look your after. There is no bad choice.

Both look great, but I think I'd like the RSR finish even better. Same look without the bling quality. I've always liked the early fuchs that weren't all black, but the polished look is a bit too shiny for these cars to me.

On your car (and mine too) the polished looks better than the black. However, I'm a big fan of the original anodized look - is that what you mean by the rsr look?

The RSR look is basically like the polished look, but the petals and the rim have a frosted, anodized look, rather than pure polished shine.
I happen to like the polished look better on that car. I had a set of 7's and 8's on my car that I loved. However, my next set is going to have the RSR look. |

I dont know which are correct for the car, but the polished rims look really nice on your car. BTW, your car looks really nice too!

Like the grunge look of the all black but I'm in agreement with the crowd. Polished is nicer on the black car. Thanks for all the feedback. Hope somebody trying to compare got some input. I think the lighting helped the polished shots, it was a bit cloudy and not so bright.

Craig,
Awesome looking car. Like the with/without shots. Almost makes me want to take off the side script and put the old engine lid back on.

Hey Jeff thanks man! I'm diggin the look of yours as well! Yeah, I just installed the MA Shaw ducktail a few months ago, and I really like the look with the "heavy" look of the SC front valance with fogs. I may want to go back to the stock engine lid at some point, but for now I'm lovin the look and feel!
Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving...all of us here have Dr. Porsche and family to be thankful for! - CraigD
