Spark plug connector

Changing plugs in my '88 Carerra today, I broke one of the spark plug connectors.

I would rather not replace all the wires.

I found that our host has replacements:

What is the procedure to replace the connector?

Advice appreciated!

The beru wires have a threaded connector crimped onto the wire. Lubricate the wire at the connector and unscrew it.

I believe you can just pull back the boot and yurn the old connector off.
Installation is the reversal of that process.
Try to turn your wire out of the broken one before you place your order.

Thanks for the replies!

I loosened the rubber seal from the spark plug connector, sprayed a little WD-40 in, and gently tried to unscrew...and the wire came out - no threaded terminal on the end.

So, now what?

Look in the connector. There should be a small screw facing you. It may be removable or fixed depending on the brand you have. There should also be a corresponding hole in the end of your wire.

Here's what I've got:

Advice greatly appreciated!

The wire should just screw into the piece that you removed. (Look in the hole of the broken piece)
There should be a screw in there(the removed part) that will cinch the wire in tight and provide a conduction path from wire to plug.
