Alfa Romeo club has a time trial/DE April 13-14 at the big track at Willow Springs. They require a 5-point belt, a fire extinguisher and a SA 95 helmet.

Same weekend, POC is on the small track. I think all you need for them is a SA 95 helmet.

Wednesday April 17, a group called Hot Rod Buick is at the big track at Willow. They'll let you wear an M-85 helmet for your first event only, SA 95 after that.

April 20-21, Traquest is up at Laguna Seca. They only require a helmet -- and I think even a motorcycle one is okay with them, too.

When bleeding the brakes, a good time to go with the ATE Blue.

Also, check the brake pads.

If the paint is in great shape, consider using a Bra at the track.

I am doing the same. I was told that if I was going to have the brake fluid changed and flushed anyway, it was a good idea to get stainless steel brake lines.
Also, be sure your battery is held down and secure.
Around here a fire extinguisher is only required in the upper run groups. A roll bar is only required in convertables.
You are required to have at least factory seat belts in the lower run groups. If you make seating or harness changes, you are required to have the same set up on the passenger side for the instructor.
Helmets are a personal thing, there are lots of threads on this board that discuss them. Here is what I have learned:
Buy a SA 2000, if you do not, you will have to buy one sooner or later. Get a helmet support, one of those things that go around your neck. I thought the wedge shaped one was more comfortable.
Buy a real good tire air pressure guage that has a button that allows you to release air pressure from tire. ($15-$20.00).
Bring a box of heavy duty garbage bags and or a tarp. You will be required to remove everything loose from your car, you will need some where to keep it. Plastic bags will keep things dry if it rains.
some of these suggestions are from our local PCA publication -Porscheforus. Great articles for a first timer to DE like myself. I can copy these articles and fax them if you need them.
