Any other Pelican folks at LeMons today?
Anyone else here running a crappy car as well? We're in the RX7 with the sombrero and working blender on the deck lid...

Where is this event taking place?
My son-in-law runs the LeMons series in this neon-equipped Mazda MX-3. Here's he is with the car and his pit crew. My daughter is the one in black. ![]()

Those Tron lemons cars are awesome!
Tdskip- I'm not there, but my friends Nick and Marc are in the Cheetors Nissan Sentra. If you see them say hello and tell them Amir said to stop by. Theyre a friendly group.

We're at Buttonwillow today/tomorrow. Managed to do my first stint without breaking anything, will try to get pictures posted later.
Several nicely sorted out 924 and 944s running, including the Pac Man (924 that won it's class at the true 24 hour race in NV that where also ran - slowly). Two 914s as well. |

End of 1st hour we were 32 of 129, they were 12th. End of 2nd hour we dropped to 55 due to veerrryyy leisurely driver change. They were 31st. |

Yep - that is us. I still want to make the sombrero adjustable so we can adjust the amount of downforce. Ha.
That is our very tired ace wrench in the background. |

In case anyone is dumb enough to care, here is a couple minute video of the cars passing through tech. Probably the best way to get some sense of the hardware being run.
We're at 21 seconds, on the back right. Look for the extra fancy hood prop; BS Inspections at 2011 Arse Freeze-a-Palooza 24 Hours of LeMons - YouTube We end up 49th out of 130. 924/944s likely (far) ahead of us, but at least one of them lost #2 rod and ventilated the block. Amir - went over and said hello to those guys. Nice guys and they run a good team. |

LeMons sure looks like a ton of fun. Just seems like a really fun time, always wanted to go to one.

I think you guys served notice in Class C that the 914s are going to be a factor going forward. Good going!
