stripped front targa pin need advice
hi,
top on my 71 was replaced many years ago and while removing the pins for new skin one was loose, upon inspection looks like it was cross threaded and threads at the bottom of the pin are stripped. i cant seem to get behind to run a tap or replace the nut( cant tell if its bad either!)...any suggestions on a fix to get the new alignment pin to hold tight. copper wire, helicoil? anyone have a used pin? regards, ben |

If you need parts, Dan Petchel on this forum who restores these tops has all of that stuff...
