Hello!
I am putting my 2.2 back together and have finally reached the point where I need to time the cams. The manual says to rotate the cams until the punch mark is at the top. I just want to clarify what the punch mark is. I have letters punched in, and 180 degrees from them is a little divot punched in as well. I am thinking the manual is refering to the divot, but want to verify before proceeding. Little help!? Thanks! BK |

The cams on my 3.2 had the inscription '360' which was positioned at the top. My understanding is that the punch mark, if it exists, is the guide to always use.

the keyways go to the top. that's the easy way. #1 and #4 pistons at TDC. put the distributor in now with the rotor pointing to #1 position so you don't screw up later and get it 180° off.
