Important announcement from France
April 1st, 2002
So, always in the name of the President and his Staf, I wish you a very pleasant week-end. See you all in PresterCity on april the 7th. Bye bye Allan, belgium section of the 911.net. Unquote--- Free abridged translation, Dear Porsche friends, The President, presently travelling for business, has charged me with following announcement: Due to the increasing success of Club911.net, as well as due to the ever increasing pressure from the "Pelican" site, the Club911.net has this weekend been ceased to our American friends for the sum of 10 million Euros. The executive bureau will employ this amount towards the purchase of 5 new GT2's but hereby wishes to thank the web members for their benevolent participation which has made this juicy transaction possible. Of course, the website will continue to exist, but the use of the English language shall henceforth be rendered compulsory. A brief period of transition shall however be tolerated until April 7th, when we shall have our race-circuit meeting at Abbeville, where the vehicular language shall be English, so as to respect our engagements towards the Americans. ---end May I herewith congratulate Pelican as well as our French club, undoubtedly the English language shall greatly progress as a result of this important change in the world of Porsche websites. Good luck!

I think that means that the french have never and will never build as good a car as a German Porsche, EVER-
Not the Renault5 Turbo2, not ANY Citroen, or those butt ugly Peugeots either. Of course my French might be off a bit...

Rumor has it that Wayne made so much money from his booksales (A book no Porsche owner shoud be without) that he can afford to buy up all the other Porsche forums and websites. With his "Lex Luther" mentality of world domination, I'm sure we will be all paying more for all of our parts in the future. So buy your parts now. HAHAHA
Happy April Fool's Day. ![]()

Voilà ! Of course it's a joke
![]() Sorry if the joke was misunderstood... er, and Bill, I'm afraid that the average level in English is still better than your French ![]() .... But if there is a reasonable offer for the Website, I can transmit it to the concerned person ![]()

Well, I love my 911 but I have to admit the second car I ever owned was a 1948 Citroen traction avant which was kinda nice too. You didn't need a tach - you could count the cylinders firing! I'll see if I can find a picture of it somewhere. The Deux Chevaux was cool too - the really early ones with the tube frame canvas seats.
Just thought the French deserved some credit for their cars.
