Pics of Beautiful RSR at car show in Denver

This beauty was shown at the "Rocky Mountain Rod & Custom Car-n-Bike Show" in Denver this holiday weekend. There was a booth of exotics and this RSR was proudly on display. Very sweet and it looked well sorted.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

- CraigD

Interesting build,

Twin plug motor based on a 3.2 or 3.3 case, three piece replica wheels (I think Dave at TRE has some info on these), 930 brakes, a well fitting cage (at least to the A-pillar) some sort of dual MC, nice fit and finish and fuel lines that run through the cabin...

I would be interested in seeing some more motor and suspension pics.

Looks very nice in the pics!

Ya, not crazy about the oil and gas lines being run through the cabin like that or the door bar design but looks like a quality build with a lot of NICE parts.

Here's the only other pic I have of the motor. I got off the ground after almost tripping someone... The suspension was coil overs with what looked like Smart Racing adjustable sways front and rear. Custom looking fiberglass front brake cooling ducts.

Overall it looked light, tight, very clean, and the fit-n-finish was above most anything I've seen that races currently. The shop that had it on display was Intrigue Detailing Intrigue Detail – Automobile Detailing Services – Exotic Sports Car Detailing – Luxury Car Care Services. I bet they'd know who to contact if you wanted to chat about this car.

It looked like the kind of thing you'd see at the factory museum...very clean.

I'll see what other pics my girlfriend got with her camera and will post those.

Cheers,

- CraigD

@ Mike - I went down there on Saturday. My girl and I were out driving on Friday! I wish we could have hooked up and gone for a drive down to the show. I would have liked to have heard a lot of those cars!!

@ Joe Bob - I'll check what my girlfriend has for pictures and post those. I'll also check to see if I have all of my pics up here.

Cheers,

- CraigD

I think that is a "John James Racing" built car. Jim Hendrix, the owner of John James Racing, is a cool cat and sells those wheels in either 5 lug or true Knock off with a really cool adapter set up....

Gorgeous car! I've always been confused about the exact function of the vents in front and back of the rear wheel wells. I guess if I ever got close enough to a real RSR I could figure it out....

I was cheating. the car started out as a 1977 911s project that I never had time to work on. I sold the chassis to Jim close to two years ago...

the vents are there to relieve the wheelwells of turbulant high pressure air which reduces the overall aerodynamic drag of the car

Are those temporarily inside the cabin?

From the pics in the link it looks like a pretty nice build. Some oddities noted above, but the finish quality sure looks good.

Anyone have motor specs?

It appears to have a comlete top mounted pedal assembly (tilton?) and hydraulic clutch as well.

Tarett bars and plates, stock front a-arms and 935 style rear plates with 930 trailing arms and adjustable pivot boxes. Cool!

Cheers

AHA! Good catch! I was wondering what the triple master cylinders were all about! I didn't even notice the top mounted pedals! Benefit? ...I love my stock assembly...everything feels just right to me.

I seriously couldn't walk away from this car...it looks like it could be competitive against some much newer hardware.
