Easy I'm sure: identify this carb, please
OK, I've been told this engine has Webers, but knowing that its a T, I wanted to pin this down as so many ran Zenith. Its a 73' so its not stock anyhow.
Yes, I've tried a search and have tried to make out some differences that p ![]() Thanks, Luke ![]()

Look on the floatbowls on the side of the carbs, should say Weber or "made in Italy" there.
Its been 25 years since I worked on Zenith's so cannot tell by the photos...

Photo doesn't give much to work with. Not like my Zenith, so I vote for Weber's....

I believe them to be the Carter "Webers", Made in USA; they won't say "Made in Italy" on the side. The reason I say that these are American carbs is that I can see the stenciled number on the top cover which is characteristic of those carbs.

Thanks everyone. The car has been off the road since the late 90's, but I can plainly see the stenciled numbers also. All I have to work with at this point is this picture too. If it was in front of me, I could figure it out. BUT I knew someone like Steve or Paul could tell even from this odd angled photo.
This car is coming my way and was just curious of what was on the number matching engine. Its a survivor 73 for the most part. Should be able to verify within a couple weeks in person ![]()

They are indeed Webers.
In regards to the stamp, my own carbs have the same stamp, but were made in Italy. I think the ink stamp was from a PMO kit back in the day before PMO made their own carbs. AM

Thanks Andrew, gives me something to look forward to in its arrival. As we all know with a project like this, there are ALWAYS surprises......you only hope enough good to offset the bad to justify the journey. LOL

Luke,
Here is a pic of a set of Webers and shows you where to look for the name on the side. Joe A ![]()

As a side note, the yellow engine shrould denotes that this was originally a US model, MFI equipped T.
The ROW 1972/73 T's had a black shroud and the Zenith carbs (some rumored to have Webers instead of Zeniths as well) AM
