All black Fuchs!?? I'm sorry but I think it looks cheap. Like something off a rusty beater Just my opinion.

I love it!

Definatley have the weights moved to the inside though. It cleans the lips up nicely.

Okay...you asked.....yuk!

They look like spare wheels not in keeping with the class of a Porsche.

I agree they look tough and suitable for the race look, but on the street it looks like you can't afford proper wheels - this is what I think the 'no Porsche knowledge' (Joe average on the street) would think.

They also downgrade the shiny, polished, well cared for look, that most all of us try to achieve (given how many of us wash/polish/wax our cars and as demonstrated in the 'Best Photo' thread).

SORRY...Just my 4cents worth! I'm not trying to be rude.

Cheers
Mark

I like 'em! Since they came from the factory this way... I'd never polish them. Nice stealth/Darth Vader look to them. My tastes have always stayed away from too much chrome and polish, so this is great to me. I have a car a very similar color as yours (mines a 75 US Carrera) that will get a ducktail and black Carrera stripes. I may try to replicate your wheels as well. Enjoy and have fun with them. -Doug

I'm curious about this factory option all black? How do you know it was just not finished this way by a prior owner?

well I had someone in Newport beach post on an earlier thread that he too picked up his car new with the wheels this way when he bought his speedster...

who knows...but the rims look podwer coated to me...

and yes I plan to get factory look (silver lips)
via a trade or Al Reed...have not yet decided

but it is fun for now...

hahaha it is funny how either you LOVE it or HATE it....I think since I know it is temporary I do not mind having them that way for now...

I had a set of all black 993 wheels they looked trick....Adam Nitti has them now.....

But what "I" would do offset the black with painted crests on the center caps and/or use silver lug nuts....it would soften the black hole look.....

hey my posts never die!!!! they go into hibernation!!!!

they are still black...when I start my project car...which will be a gunmetal/seal grey I wil see what it looks like...if I don't like it they will become either factory finsh rims or if I can find someone who wants to buy/trade...
