Thanks sm70911 -

How difficult was it to drill into the bumper.

Did you use a regular drill and bit.

I try a little and it seemed impossible to drill through the bumper.

Any sugesstions?

Thanks!!

Side note if you like the muffler off sound (as I do) then look into fabspeed's muffler bypass pipe :-) it won't break the bank, you lose the weight and keep the sound. (I did the cat bypass as well 180+ Db gettin on it wife says she can hear it for over 3 miles from the house)

Not sure what your question is. If you find 930 PN bumperettes they will fit directly onto your rear bumper. and fit your valence correctly. Feed through and screw in current LP lights and you are good to go. You will have two holes left over which you can plug with cheap plastic caps.
Welding the holes shut is fairly simple if you can weld Aluminum. (I went to a pro)
There are some pics I referenced when i did it on this thread, and on modified bumpers thread

My bumper is pretty corroded, so I drilled through one of the corner guards and put a screw into it (ghetto) to stop it from popping out of the bumperette. I just used a standard metal drill bit, but it was not a quick drill process (had to hold it for a long while before it bore all the way through). I have the replacement parts to change it over before spring, so the ghetto will get removed.

OK guys - once the nuts from these bolts are removed it should just pop off, right?

Hi Mark. I'm also Mark.

What are you trying to accomplish and why? Are yours damaged and you are just looking for replacements?

It's pretty straightforward, but you will probably want to remove the muffler to more easily access the nuts. Then follow the procedures in this thread to knock off the old ones.

One of mine has a crack, and it took several months to find a good used replacement on the Buy and Sell board here for a reasonable price.

We should keep the discussion here to add to the body of knowledge on the board.

no need to remove muffler.
gotta cover the guard with soft cloth, then a chunk of wood. give it a couple of good whacks.
you will have to drill 4 new holes. easy to drill - aluminium.
you will have to fill 4 holes. colour matched press in plastic 7/16" od on the shaft area of the insert. you can "paint to match" for the inserts'
the only area that needs precision is the drilling of the 4 new holes. use tape to mark location.
you may have to touch up the newly exposed area. some are worse than others.
a WTB ad is your best option for sourcing the euro bumperettes.
the reproduction units are said to be decent - they do go on sale.
