Intermittent Burps Farts and Backfires
(If the thread title is inappropriate, please let me know to so I can change it)
But it does pretty well describe what's happening. Hop into the drivers seat....insert key....turn key expecting the lovely brrrmmmmm of the car starting, and instead it sounds like Uncle Buck's ride....and just as smokey. Car turns over, but won't catch....and if it does...."brrrrappp, chug, chug, chug, BAM...brrrrrappp"....then I'm stuck. Had it happen both cold and hot. It's happend twice...and from reading here, I'm guessing the DME relay (which I've purchased, and will keep a spare in the box for the road) Since it's intermittent, I'd hate to put the new relay in and think it's fixed, only to be stranded down the road (no pun intended) from it being another issue. Just thought I'd run it buy you folks ![]()

I wonder if your Head Temp Sensor is out thinking the engine is in a very cold climate dumping too much fuel?
