Question B&B Oil cooler mount support question

Anyone installed the B&B nose mounted oil cooler? My cooler is mounted by 4 bolts, 2 on each side through the "ears" welded to the top of the cooler. I was wondering if this could get stressed during the agressive acceleration and braking during DE events.

Did you add any additional bracing to the bottom of the cooler to reduce stress on the top mount bracket? Mine feels exposed without a bottom bracket supporting it.

Rick

Mine is bolted at the top to a nerf bar under the f/g bumpercap. The bottom is supported by reinforced f/g pads. Has worked fine for the past 6 yrs

Bill,

Do you have air conditioning on your car? I love the front bumper/spoiler you are using and would like to put one on my 85 model. It looks great and gets the oil cooler out of the front fender and into some air for actual cooling!

Problem is that living in Phoenix I cannot survive without a/c and wondered if the setup you are using will work with the associated plumbing and such?

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, No air(it's a Targa) so I can't really help much. The spoiler is definitely the place for the oil cooler. Bill Boat(of B&B fame) has/had a 3.6 in an 82 w/AC, he used one of his fender mounts w/fan and reported no problems in the Az. area.

Rick, I see you got the straight I/O ports rather than the angled ones on mine, good choice the angled ones were a PITA
