where can I search this information, any url´s please ?? |
please guys :confused::confused:
where can I search this information of the model ????????? and what is the upgerade for make S type ??????? :D:D |
Here's a link to a great resource for VIN/engine numbers--if you can "understand" a bit of German: Porsche 911 Fahrzeugidentifikation
As far as the "upgrade" to S type, that's another story for other members to offer. Just realize you have an E engine which, by many accounts, is a more drivable street engine than an S. |

Does this engine need a rebuild? If not, then drive it as is, if it does need a rebuild then the choice is clear rebuild it to 2,7 RS specs.:) |
thank you guys !!!!!
Now I not gave doubts of the engine I´m near sold !!!! The engine is for mount in a 914 and I have under contruction 914 6 "gt" more more racing. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1326314763.jpg |
Oh cool. Never thought of the engine going into a 914/6. No need for an RS spec then, a stock E or upgraded S spec will do just fine. Have fun.:)

Yes my idea is mount oem and later as with the time make changes.
I have one post in 914 categori of my car and is : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-914-914-6-technical-forum/629894-conversion-914-6-gt.html But I have now two 911 aircooleds and read this categori every day 4 or 5 times and for a question of 911 engine this is the best place I think. Thank you guys and one pic of my two 911 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1326363195.jpg |

Looks like the engine is in very nice condition. I wonder why it has a red shroud. Maybe a previous owner rebuilt the engine to 'S' or 'RS' specs? That would be nice.
If you are looking for parts I would recommend putting a 'Want to buy' ad in the Pelican classified section and also on the Early S Registry forum. Here is a link. For Sale/Wanted: 911 Parts Porsche 911 Used Parts For Sale & Wanted - Pelican Parts Technical BBS |
