Weidmans Wheels
Just wondering what time Weidmans Wheels opens?
I am calling from here in Brisbane Australia to arrange sending over my wheels for refinishing and need to ask a few questions. I have it currently as almost 8AM in California, is he open at 8 or 9 or is there a preferred time to call? Cheers Al

Wait until 10, they'll have had their Irish coffee by then and in a better mood.

Cool thanks, looks like I'm up until 4am then. :-) Guess I'll watch some of today's WRC from Monte Carlo to pass the time.
Cheers Al

Al Reed's wife gets in early. Al is better at polish and such. Weidman at anodizing.

Thanks Harvey, I appreciate you taking the time to answer all my questions, it was great chatting to you.
Here is the website for the shipping company down here that also does freight forwarding from the US back to Australia, I'll be ringing them when I get up to confirm the pricing and then will let you know when I send the wheels off to you. Ship2Anywhere Australia Cheers Al

wow, shipping wheels from Oz and back should cost about the same as refinishing them, eh?

Personally, I would consider buying a set here, ship them to Harvey and then ship to OZ....sell your down there. You'd be miles ahead......
Unless that is already your plan.....

The best I could hope to get for my Braid BZ 15's down here is 2k if I'm lucky with the tyres. The wheels from Braid are $3000 new then add the cost to refinish all 4 wheels by Harvey plus $400.00 to ship back using Ship to Anywhere freight forwarding service I get around $4800 and that's not to mention tyres for the new wheels at $500+ a corner. Where as shipping them there and back is $800 plus the refinishing = $2200 and I already own the wheels that came with the car when I bought it a few months ago. If I've missed something please let me know, I was considering selling my Braid BZ 15's and Fuchs 16's that I have to finance the cost of a set of the Zuffenhaus 17's with Weidman RSR finish but I really didn't want to go to a 17. Cheers Al

He probably assumed you were sending a regular set of used Fuchs 15's or 16's which can be had for not too much money in the US then you could sell yours locally.

Ahhhh okay, these Braid BZ are 15 x 11 and 15 x 9, I wish I had a real set of Fuchs in this size :-)
