915 lsd
I disassembled my stock LSD (1986 915 Trans) to replace the friction disks and am confused on how many disks should be in the diff. The parts diagram shows 2 friction disks on each side 4 in total. Mine only has one on each side two in total.
what is correct for this year. Thanks

Some of the 2 plate lsd's can be rebuilt as 4 plate, it depends on how much room there is in the can. I'd give Matt Monson at Guard Transmission a call for specific advice
