Targa Top Case
Did Porsche offer a case for a folded targa top? Was it standard, option, or accessory?
Thanks in advance, Rob

Targa top case.

We have owned three Targas and were never advised of an optional top cover. Making a cover would not challenge most upholstery shops. However, in order to prevent creases, keep in mind that many Targa owners avoid folding the top. Good luck, Gerry

Nope. It only fits in the trunk folded.

Didn't the saratoga top fit in the trunk? If so I thought the soft Targa top would fit. I never tried though.

Thanks Gerry for your response. I am asking because I bought a 2 owner fully documented and original 1970 Targa that came with a Targa Top case.

Mystro,
Some have said that a carefully placed unfolded top will fit behind the front seats but I never tried it. Rob

Was it a factory option, or aftermarket? Gerry

Here are the factory options from 1969-1971. As per Luc, it would appear that your case was an aftermarket item. Best, Gerry ![]() ![]()

Thanks to all for your replies. Looks like the case is an aftermarket piece.
