replacement rear belts for 3.2 - lockable type?
I've read a lot of posts regarding the installation of child seats in the back of sc's and 3.2's. In the future I'll want to do the same. My car is an 88, it has 3 point belts already but they are not the type that you can pull all the way out to put into a "ratcheting" mode. That makes it difficult to sinch the child seat down and means you have to use an H clip.
There have been lots of cool solutions over the years but a lot of the threads are quite old now. Is there a replacement 3 point belt I can buy to install in place of one of my factory belts, that have the locking retracting capability? |

I've searched and can't find anyone that makes a 3 point ALS belt. Plenty of 2 point ALS belts available.

Try PEP Parts, I bought a set of 3-point belts for the rear of my 1986 to replace the lap belts for the very purpose Child Seats. They were not direct replacements nor did they fit into the spot that the factory had for the shoulder belt connection used on your 1988 but they could be locked by the ratchet. That was 10 years ago and maybe they have them now in the correct profile.

I believe the rear belts in 993s and 964s from '91 have the locking mechanisms.
If I remember right, the early 964s upto '90 have the same belts as your Carrera. |

Expanding your douchebaggery to car safety systems now? Why not keep it confined within the boundaries of your chip business after all, you have your hands full explaining 225tq from a 3.2.
