1981 SC Cruise Control

Hi All,

Not that I would really ever use it, but, I want to make the car complete and the cruise control is not hooked up - and I think parts are missing. If anyone has a cruise control system that works, would you be willing to take some photos of what a functioning linkage looks like?

Thanks so much!!!

Ray

Hi Gerry,

Thanks for taking the time to reply, but, the first thing I always do is a search. There is a lot of information on the 84 - 89 system, but, in looking through 500 posts that the search provided, I found no photos of the linkage for SC's (78-83).

If I missed something already posted or if anyone with an SC would be willing to help out - thanks.

Ray

Ray,

If you do not have the Bentley for your M/Y, have a look at this.

Good luck,

Gerry

Gerry - great link - thanks. By the way - so cool that you are the original owner of your 86.... Having that history with your car is so helpful....

I'm really into having everything in the car working, in my SC everything does work down to the headlight washers. I will not however reinstall the cruise control until. In my case that sucker got jammed and pegged my throttle wide open on the highway. I've read a few people on this board with the same issue, I'm not saying to "not do it" but do it with caution.
