Seat Back release

My hand slipped and flung the release knob off of the seat. I ordered a new knob and clip but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to put this new one on. Anyone know how I should go about fixing this?

Here's the pass seat knob missing; Do I just push the new one onto the lever?

And here is a pic of the broken one and the new clip and knob.

Back seat handle installation.........

Place the new handle in position with the inner bar in neutral (middle). Push the plastic handle firmly until it locks. Check the handle by lightly pulling it out and you should feel a resistance. If the handle stays in place, you have successfully installed it. It took me a couple of trial to get it secured. I've installed one a month ago. Keep us posted.

Yep, it just presses on. I used the release on the other side of the seat to move the seat off of the catch and that lets the lever move freely. Just slide it on.
