Tips - Cool Cyl port cap and stud removal tool

Just thought I would share this cheap very effective cap for plugging your intake ports while removing studs or other work to keep all the Uh Ohs from happening.

This works on the 2.7 cylinder head with 32mm ports. I had always just used rags to stuff them with, but this is clean and a perfect fit.
I found that the valuecraft carb/choke cleaner caps found at Autozone work best, due to the fewer ribs for flexibility. The brake cleaner ones do notwork. These can be installed flush and they will fill the bung hole believe it or not. I just use pliers to remove.

Intake removal tool worked like a charm, but destroys your studs.

If it works like a charm, why does it destroy your stud? The much more expensive SnapOn collet tools preserves your studs. They even had an very cool install tool as well.

True, in my case I was replacing with longer studs. The collet machinist tool is even better, especially if you need to save them.
