I currently have a 930 and an SC. Previously, I had a 79 930, 85 ROW Carrera cab and a 91 964 turbo. Out of all the cars, the 964 turbo was the easiest car to drive with good power on tap. However, it felt heavy and not as nimble as the SC or Carrera. It did have good ac and was rather comfy to take on dates.
Now, back to a 930 or an SC. I would say if you are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic all the time, get an SC. Better yet, get a G50 Carrera. I love my 930, but when stuck in traffic it just drives me nuts as I just want to unleash the motor. To save your sanity in that kind of traffic, get another car. My Porsches just sit and I haven't filled up gas in either car since Halloween. I just drive my Lexus everyday, or my E55 when going out. |

I'm not a speed freak and I do 95% of the maintenance and repairs so I prefer the simplicity of an SC or a Carrera. But I love the wide fender look. So...this one, for me, became the best of both worlds.
There is a lot to be said for the "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast..." thing, particularly when you live in an area with overzealous, revenue-driven traffic enforcement! ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1351348364.jpg |
