Clutch question

Hi Everyone im new to pelican parts and this is my first question of maybe many.
I've owned my first porsche now for 5 months a 911SC convertible 3ltr 1983. After 2 months of owning her my gearbox locked up on me, apparantly the 2nd gear syncro broke up and has done quite a bit of damage, 2nd and 3rd gear sets, hub, and sliding sleeve, its in a gearbox repairers now and i've had good news this week i should have the box back next week so looking forward to putting her back together. im a novice with the spanners but wanted to remove the engine and gearbox because of costs and i had read some much about the removing of it i thought i could do it myself, which i did with my son and really enjoyed doing it.
My question is.... in the manual it says i should make up 3 spacers and fit onto the 3 rivets on the clutch pressure plate before i will be able to remove the box from the engine well i didn't do that, to be honest i didn't understand or see what it meant, after a couple of pulls the box easily came away, do you think i will have a problem pairing them back together. the clutch is a Sachs clutch set.
Many thanks in advance Dave.

I have no idea what the spacers are for but I don't think anyone does it that way.

What manual are you referencing? Are you talking about the throw-out bearing shims? I don't what other spacer you might be referencing.

Can you post the manual and page you found that info?

The only shims/spacers I know of at the gearbox is the TO bearing set.
