is now turtle-like.
this web site..... very, very frustrating indeed for us adrenoline junky porschophiles who expect no less than immediate gratification in all things, including load times on this web page... well, almost... edit: KUDOS to Wayne, this is a meca for sharp minded folks with a common passion and good medium to interact and trade ideas. as well as appologies for the above. Being Canadian it's genetic that I appologize. I was unaware of the issues he faced. My cup is now "half full"

The company that hosted the site went belly-up last Friday. Within a remarkably short period, Wayne (our host) got the system working using a friend's company's internet connection. It's slow, but the alternative was no board at all until a new ISP could get the thing going (which will take one to two weeks). As a stop-gap measure, it's working pretty well. Better to have half a BBS than none at all.

Back to full-speed, we're at an emergency colo facility for now, until the T1s get setup in Pelican HQ. Then I can install the shiny new Pelican BBS server!
