fuel gauge won't work - any ideas?
Gents-Need a little assistance-
I have a Fuel Safe Porsche 911/930 cell (SA101) in my 1976 911 with a fuel gauge from a 1991 911. Have tried getting to work a few times with no luck. Fuel Safe has not been very helpful. Any suggestions I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks Roger |

Thanks for the reply. The gauge has never worked since the car was restored. The fuel cell was brand new and I had the gauges checked out by North Hollywood Speedometer. I'm not sure if these would apply to my situation but thank you very much.

Bench test the gauge with a power source, it it does not peg then re-flow the solder joints and check again.
Take a DVM and see if the connector are getting voltage when ignition is in the on position. Take care to not allow the hot lead to ground on to the chassis.
