To my knowledge it is called Continental Orange (the color of my car). I don't have the code handy, though...(maybe L107)?

From another site: Paint #: B2B2 Color code: 042-9-1 (107)

I've always liked this colour.

Here's some info from another thread.

Rein Orange

Alan
I replied to your PM. Rein orange is different than Signal and Continental orange. My car was going through it's transformation while the original 74 Jager RSR was being maintained and stored in the same shop (GD Racing in South San Francisco). Here are some pics of my car and the original 74 Jager RSR. Porsche participated with some "support" (mostly parts I think) in the restoration of this RSR.

I do not think Porsche helped John at all with the restoration of the Jager RSR. I know I spent hours detailing that sucker a few times for Porsche Parade...

Anyway the shop across the street from GD Racing ... actually in the old GD racing shop on Montgomery in San Bruno , has done paint work on John's RSR and also painted Rolf and Bobby Crookshanks Jager 914GT replicas so they have the paint code.

If your not in the area and able to stop by you can try calling Gary at GD Racing and I am sure he can get you John the Russian's number at the paint shop across the street.... come to think of it Gary has a Jager 935 replica that John painted also, so all kinds of that color on the block

John and I at Wine Country.... that Orange pops !

The shop across the street from GDRacing is International Autobody (1172 Montgomery Ave, San Bruno - 650-871-5453).

I'm pretty sure from conversations with both Gary D and John Burns, the owner/driver of the original Jagger RSR, John did get the first batch of paint from Jagermeister. Back when John was restoring the car, the owner of Jagermeister was thrilled to hear that the car was being brought back to its original livery. Back in the '80s, John and Larry Grove both bought twin cars that had been "ridden hard and put away wet" in Asia.

Funny I met a friend of yours today. He says you are trying to get him bit by the Porsche bug .
John told me he wasn't even sure what cars he had on his hands until he got them both back from Japan. I have done the same thing when I have bought a car that was worth the price on the sum of the parts and it turned out to be what I thought it was... home run

Eckhard Schrimpf is the owner of Jagermiester and JB/Johns Jager RSR was not only sponsored by Jager it was one of two cars the Schrimpf actually owned. The other being a 914 GT6 . Echard gave John all the documentation on this car including all the entry slips in race and the Wagenpass. Whatever color you got from John at International rest assured it is correct.

So now for a longshot. I've been google searching images for the Jagermeister logo, but can't find the same logo/usable graphic.

Anyone have a really good image I can use to create a decal?

There are plenty of vinyl shops that already have the Jager decals. I have used Dave Schnorr and I know he has them but make sure you are clear on price... he is expensive. I bet you can call around and find a graphic guy who already has them in his system .

I'm also painting my '74 IROC with the Jagermeister theme. It may be my eyes but I think the 962 and 935 at the top of this thread have more pop than the original Rein orange? The orange seems to have more red in it. What color is that? I was going to use Continental Orange until I found this post by Alan.

When I saw the Jagermeister 962 at Rennsport, I thought the orange had too much red in it. I've owned my Continental Orange 911 for almost 20 years now, so this color (and the Jager cars in general) has always been sort of a hobby for me. I was told by a knowledgable old timer at a DE 15 years or so ago that Continental was the Jager orange (and I believed him ), so I have to admit to being wrong if it is actually Rein Orange. Sorry about that.

Having been a fan of these cars for a long time (I have lots of paraphernalia, etc), I don't think you would go wrong with Continental or Rein. Rein ulimately seems to have slightly less red in it than Continental (so what's up with the 962?), but 99% of the folks out there wouldn't know the difference.

Blood Orange?

Hey Mike, it's been a long time from the old Porschefans days. I have a folder of orange cars and yours was one of my favorites as mine is also a baby IROC.

Here is another IROC pic, I believe this is Blutorange/Blood Orange code 018, wonder if this is what the 962/935 used? Definitely looks more red. Rein Orange is a little too faded for me, I'm leaning to Continental or Blood Orange.
