Hi Kristoph!

I'd totally agree with that sentiment, and to the rotisserie thing.

If I do another resto, I'd have it chemically stripped then e-coated.

My cars now got a UK MOT, just waiting for the forms from the DVLA so I can get issued with age related number plates!

Kristoph! It was great to finally meet you in person. Thanks for stopping by the Gorilla Garage and hanging out with us. Below is the picture of us commemorating the occasion. We'll have to do it again soon. Cheers!

Hi Kristoph!
It was great getting to meet you at the shop and I've thoroughly enjoyed your build thread. Can't wait to see ze Rat in person one of these days.

Best wishes to you guys with the boys coming... If I can do anything for you after they come, I would be happy to. I would offer advice, but I'm sure you will get a lot anyway (some good, some not), and honestly I don't remember the beginning very well. Our boys have been and still are a great joy and I can't wait for them to join me in some projects on my 74.

Hope you make it back up soon, and thanks for taking the time to stop and chat!

Hi Steve,

It was great meeting you as well! Thanks for the advice and I am sure you will have a great time working on your car with your twins. I will let you know if I need any help with mine. I have a feeling we will not remember the beginning very well either;) I particulary enjoyed reading that your car is named the Zombie Frog:D One of these days we will have to have a "Petting Zoo" party where we have a Rat and Frog in the Gorilla Garage:cool:

Just heard a good piece of news. Two new Porsche nuts have been ushered into the world. The Rat will be well cared for in its old age. Congratulations are in order for Kristoph and Anna.

You finished the car just in time.:p Good thing 911s have rear seats. My kids rode in the back of my 911 many times.:)

Thanks for Posting the announcement Dave.

It is confirmed that on October 2nd, sometime between 5:00pm and 9:00pm EST, Anna wife of Kristoph gave birth to identical twin boys...Torsten & Wolfgang, both weighing in around 5 lbs. Mother, Boys and Father all doing fine.

I talked to Kristoph yesterday and asked him how identical are they, he said he was taking some blue nail polish to distinguish them apart as they are absolutely identical!!!

Congratulations to the Anna and Kristoph!!!:):):):):SmileWavy

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes! The boys are doing great and hopefully we will be bringing them home soon. The last week has been a total blur and I have a feeling that I will not be on Pelican much in the near future  I certainly did get the car done just in time. :)

kkinzli 10-21-2013 09:39 AM

Today was my first day back to work after three weeks off for the birth of the boys. I must say that I was dreading going back to work until I pulled out of the driveway in the Rat :D

RDM 10-21-2013 11:11 AM

Did you make it to work, or did you take the long, long, long way?

What's one more day of paternity leave, right?

kkinzli 10-22-2013 10:50 AM

Hahahaha! I did make it to work. Actually, I got there a lot sooner than I wanted to.

kkinzli 11-01-2013 07:05 AM

The Rat has set a new record! I drove it to work every day during the month of October. I did have a three week break for the birth of the boys but who's counting? ;)
