Carrera 3.0 Cam Timing

I am finishing up a engine rebuild on my 77 3.0 Carrera
and am installing ands setting the camshaft timing next

Wanyes Book states for the 76 3.0 CIS
valve overlap is .9- 1.1 on the dial gauge

Is this the the same setting for the 1977 3.0 C stock
and is this the best setting for a 667XXXX engine

thanks!!!

Thats the spec on the 8.5/1 pistons. I did the cams today on an 81 and the 9.3 calls for 1.4 to 1.7 and its all the same cam. Remember the C3.0 was euro only.

hi thanks.

yes the 1977 3.0 Carrera has 8.5/1 pistons so the correct is 1.0mm overlap
