Back dateing oil line question
Ordered all new SSIs with oil lines from Pelican, The hard oil line that attach's to block looks like it attach's support tab on line to rear metal tin bolt. However mine when installed sits a couple inch's out from that bolt. Do I use a longer bolt or attempt to bend new oil line to make it attach tab tight against engine tin. Thanks

Nine was not perfectly line up but 2" is quite a gap. Almost sound like the tab is not long enough. With both end partially screwed can you get it closer by rotating the line? ![]()

That is how it worked for me.
I noticed the same thing putting my line on while it was on the stand, so I ended up leaving it a little loose at the engine connection and then when I installed it, it moved over easily. Tough to tighten with SSI's on but it can be done with one of the slim harbor freight wrenches.

I had the same problem. These new lines are not made very well. Heat the pipe where it bends near the block with a mapp torch then bend in place and fasten.

Mine was exactly the same.
I ended up getting into position after some cursing and manipulation. |

I've not seen oil galley plugs that thick before.
