In what order do I install the stuff under/behind dash?

Hi,

I am in the process of putting my 1973 Targa back together. Now I need to get all the stuff under/behind the dash back together. That mean the gagues, electrical wiring, windshield wiper motor, ventilation and coupé fan, vent controls, and so on.

There is a lot of stuff to fit in there, and I am reluctant to get started before I know in which order to do it. Its no fun to have to start over....

I am guessing

1. Gagues
2. Wiring
3. Vent controls
4. Windshield wipers
5. Fan motor
6. Vents and piping

Any thoughts? What am I missing?

Regards,

Johan

Since you are in there--- good excuse to reverse the direction of the windshield wipers. See the tech article

I take it his '73 doesn't have the thumb-screw gauges like my '69? #1 for me!

J,
about to do the same on my '83 SC....
my plan order is; 2,3,6,4,5,1
gauges just slide in from front of dash on an '83
doing it just once sounds good to me.

Here's what I'd suggest:

2. Wiring
4. Windshield wipers
6. Vents and piping
3. Vent controls
5. Fan motor
1. Gagues
