Preferred lubrication for suspension squeaks?
My front suspension on my 87 Carrera has become pretty squeaky recently, even just when turning the steering wheel. Was going to try and lube it by spraying all the bushings etc. to see if that helps before jumping into any rebuilding activity, particularly since the car still drives well. Yes, I know these cars don't have any factory recommended lubrication for the chassis/suspension. I already sprayed the front strut tower brace and it didn't improve anything.
Thoughts on what to use? I love white lithium for just about everything. WD-40? Graphite? Silicone?

The bushings in a 911 are rubber, so they don't use lubrication. The movement at the joint it provided by the rubber twisting. If your car has polyurethane bushings, then you should clean and grease them. The squeaking is most likely a result of the original bushings "flowing" to the point that your control arm is no longer in the middle of the mount. As a result, the squeaking you're hearing is the torsion bar rubbing the mount. So you'll probably need to replace the bushings. To confirm this, take a look under it and see if the bushings have flowed. The spring plate is really easy to see. If the bushings are original to the car, then the are toast, don't bother looking.

Spraying your strut brace with WD-40 will not do anything as there is hardly any deflection up there. Unless you know that there are urethane bushings in there, it is time to rebuild (rather, rebush) the suspension before your torsion bars are scored enough that you need to replace them.
