Do you know if there is any site on the web with info about the relation between the engine number and the year/type etc.

Hey Ed!
What are you looking for? PCA prints a book called "The Porsche Family Tree" that has engine numbers, chassis numbers, ect. I can look it up in mine for you!

Thanks both,
The first answer gives me, among other interesting information, the engine Type #. What I am looking for is the 7/8 # that identifies each individual engine, and its relation with all the particular characteristics (year, vol, Hp, Type, etc.). I cannot continue asking on this board for each 911 opportunity I found. So, I will buy the PCA book, on the first opportunity I have. Thanks again Ed. |
