Generally the easiest bb install will be a '78-89 930 setup as the only machining necessary is for the rear calipers and no adapters are used at all. Dissadavantage is weight, cost, old design 993 and 993RS are nice bb but are overkill for most purposes, I put 993RS on my car more for looks than anything else, you need to modify the rear calipers and rear rotors and use a caliper adapter at both ends, Race Technology used to sell a bolt on kit which afaik is nla. disadvantages are weight, cost 996/997 turbo and Gt3 can be also be adapted these are even more powerful and heavy than 993RS, Instant-G dells these kits. disadvantages are weight, cost & bias issues there are others such as Boxster which are really not an upgrade but if you like the looks they are available from a # of sources
