Alan's car turned out great.

I really think it's worthwhile to do the powdercoat / replating when refreshing the suspension. The finished product is well protected from the elements.

Plus it's so much nicer to work on a car with nice clean parts. Really a big difference.

And it looks great.

It only adds a few hundred $ to the total project. Total cost varies with the parts, but to do a full suspension refresh you're into several thousand anyway. As a percentage of the total $, the cleanup is fairly minor and well worth it.

I agree with Chuck. While you're there...if you have the capability, it's best to refresh. As Chuck says, everything goes together properly.
And, just a side note, Chuck is veeeery good, and MORE than capable of this sport of work. He designs the stuff and knows it inside out. Congrats, avale, you had THE man do it, and do it right.
