beep ... since this isn't the 356 forum, I don't think that one qualifies!

Try this one:

I guess if you go by "threadID," this one is the first tech question.

I was under the impression that as the board grows, the oldest messages are "lost" from the online site because of a limitation in the BBS software. Isn't this why Wayne doesn't like the large threads of off-topic content?

This is actually the first post in this 911 forum:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28703

The old software couldn't store all the posts. When we upgraded, I put them all back (I had saved them ALL!).

You can see the oldest post by changing the view order (at the bottom of the main screen)

Pretty cool, huh? I was able to restore all of the archives from 1998!

This is of course backed up every Thursday evening!

Off-topic posts belong in the OT forum. We get too much traffic here for OTs, it would detract from the tech content nature of this forum...

Wayne, that is an early post, yes. But it only addresses a 912, 914 and 356. What about the first post that specifically addresses a 911?
