Front pan replacement: Cost ?
I'm trying to get an idea of the accepted cost of replacing a front suspension pan on an early 911, or later one, same thing more or less... I have the parts already, just need labor.
Mine's been patched, it's not too bad of a patch but the side under the battery box is probably not safe long term... I've heard anything from $700 to $2300, trying to narrow it down as I shop around for a ... shop in the Tampa bay area ! The car is a 68 912 incidentally, it could probably make do with a patch in that battery side A arm area, but since it's been patched before and those things rust from the inside out, I figure I'd do it once and for all and enjoy the car with no reservations... |

West coast, N.Cal, Bay Area prices are about $1,500 - $2,500. May or may not include alignment.

I will be doing the same thing this fall and It depends on if the shop has done it before or not. Hopefully they have as they have experience which usually means thay can do it faster/better. Then there is the shop that hasn't done it before, low balls you and does a crap job. I would look on spending around 1500 for labor and look for a shop that knows 911's.
Lots of posts on this job and prices seem to be all over the place.

hard to price until it's all cut out and you know how far the rot goes. it's often well beyond the repair part, like into the longitudinals and up the sides.
