Post pics of Grey or silver P cars

Please send me pics of your Grey/silver/pewter cars, I am going to repaint my 77 Targa and am looking for the perfect colour. Make sure you let me know the year and colour too please. Also let me know if you like the colour, as in:
-easy to keep clean
-forgiving colour (doesn't show ever nick)
-and personal opinions

thanks
Shawn

Talking

Normally, drivers aren't shown (for some reason), but it's the only picture on my hard drive.

My grandfather used to own a body shop, and they painted all the cars gray (not metallic silver) to hide dings. Metallic silver hides dirt well, but I heard it's one of the hardest colors to match if you need to repair.

I should know, but don't remember the color code of my car.

Well, it is a P-Car (purists, flame away now) and it is grey. Actually, the paint hides flaws well and has been really easy to keep clean, even here in rainy Seattle. Personal preferences? I like a bright metallic silver better.....

Cheers

silver is an awesome color for a porsche.

my car is a 74 with a 15 year old respray. the silver color is very neutral. i know on the 993's porsche had at least 2 colors of silver. what i believe was the standard silver was a warm color (yellowish) and the special order polar silver was cold (blueish).

Shawn,

Check out
TWIN911 at http://www.cheaterswayside.com/911/

The color is Diamond Blue, doesn't show the dirt and hides the road rash well. The cars never been painted and at 13 years it looks great. People compliment me on the color quite often so I guess it looks good to other folks besides me! Good luck.

Here's mine. Diamond Blue Metallic but close enough to silver to get me into the silver Porsche paddock at the Tweeks FunFest.

Hey, Mark, it's great to see you poke your head up on the board. Is the E still in friendly territory?

Thanks, Bill! The color looks different under different kinds of lighting - one of the things that I like about it.

Your car looks great too. The wheels really set the color off.

Cool

Jack,
Thanks for asking. I'm concentrating on buying a house right now so I still have E parked in the garage. I may still talk myself into holding on. We'll see.
