Salvage title is fine, as long as you get a good PPI and make sure it goes on the C-Bench to double check that it is straight and not bent.

You should check with your insurance company about potential coverage - if it's stolen down the road, they may be able to severely dimish your payoff. Someone told me that they can claim it has zero value, but I find that hard to believe. I'd look into agreed-value insurance just to be safe.

I purchased cheap porsche 911 SC some months ago from salvage auto auction. The fact that a car has a salvage title means that you must be more attentive and look closely at the car, maybe have it checked by some professional. And of course it should be cheap, it makes no sense to pay much money for a car that needs 5-10K in repairs.
