Guess the price tag contest...
Well, it looks like my alternator is out. I have no electrical symptoms, but the fan has become wobbly. (It is not loose). The fan scored up the fan housing before losing a few great chunks of three blades.
I have no time to repair this fiasco, so I am at the mercy of my friendly wrench who salivates like Pavlov's dog when I call with another problem. I am sure he makes more money than my doctor, but that's another story. New alternator, new fan. How big a check will I be writing tomorrow? Any guesses?

Wayne from San Ramon Exotics.
I highly suspect my bill will top $1000. My guess is $1200. If the bill is as high as I suspect it will be, I'll probably switch to Denny Kahler. Who do you use?

Shouldn't be that much
New Fan ~$250
Alternator ~$300 (new) 2 Hours Labor ~ 110 Should be 650-700 -cheaper if you get a rebuilt alternator instead of new Regards Andrew M |
