Throttle linkage improved ver.. too big.
I recently purchase a new throttle linkage, the kind with the outer shell as pictured.
My problem is the original boot will not fit to either end of the new throttle linkage... The pic shows the original rubber linkage without the metal casing and how it's much smaller in diameter and fit nicely in the rubber boot. The other pic shows how much wider diameter the new linkage with the metal casing is.. it is impossible to fit it into the rubber boot. Any one with this problem, please share your knowledge. Do they have a wider boot to fit this larger metal casing? Thanks in advance Bao ![]() ![]() |

Just from my mind, I think you only need to turn the coupler:

Thanks for the advice. I have try to fit the smaller end of the casing and i still won't fit.
I think there must be another boot size to fit... just don't know what it is. Thanks again |

Hello Roland,
From what i can see from your pic either the wide or the narrow end of the casing is fitted in the rubber boot... unfortunately, we can't see what size rubber boot is fitted from your picture. From my end, i have try to fit both end of the casing in the rubber boot (original) and it 100% won't fit.. unless i cut the boot and try to re-seal afterward. Thanks again, Bao |
