'80 SC - Heater blower in engine compartment - switch?
Hi,
today I started to inspect the engine compartment of my recently purchased '80 SC. Among other things, I noted that the heater blower harness has been butchered and that the relay is missing. This was when I realized I have no idea which switch would operate the heater fan. Is it controlled by the upper of the three levers in the middle of the dash, by the AC blower switch in the console in front of the gear stick or by anything else? Both of these switches seem to start a blower in the luggage compartment in my case. Thank you, Manfred |

The blower motor in the engine bay is controlled by the auto heat unit between the seats, or if you don't have auto heat it's controlled by a switch on the two red levers between the seats.

I have a '74 so no engine mounted blower motor. However, on my 914, the blower only comes on when the red lever between the seets is pulled all the way up. Partially pulled does not turn on the fan but allows some heat into the cabin.
