Ditzy Dizzy

I get a clicking noise from my newly installed RS distributor.
It rises and falls with rpm up about 1100 when it disappears.
I can also make it stop by pinching off the vacuum line.
I can feel it when I put my hand on the Vacuum advance housing.

I'm begining to think that disconnecting the line and plugging it off
wouldn't be a bad idea.

Can't find anyhing that's making contact, now. The rotor was touching the Pertronics unit, so I changed it out for a non rev limit unit and that clears....."that ougha do it", I sez......NOT.

I'm stumped.

it's probably a retard anyway, so you don't need it. if the vacuum hose is attached to just one or two intake ports, it will pulsate. try setting the total advance to 35° and plug the vacuum ports. if it pings, set it back a couple of degrees from there.

I have done what JW writes about last month in a 2.7 '77 CIS[stock] w/early Carrera dizzy...no problems, starts great cold, very cold, warm, hot, and runs fine..the RS pistons are 8.5 ..........Ron
