Need for Relay Panel/Fuse block in engine compartment with no HVAC?
84 Carrera - removed all HVAC. From what I can tell via the wiring diagram there are two relays for heat, don't need them and 3 fuses for heat/A/C blowers...don't need them.
There is the 14 PIN connector that also is combined into this relay panel that hooks up with the engine harness, so I don't want to screw anything up there. I have traced everything and I just don't see the need for the panel - Just want to be sure I am not missing anything, anyone else done this with their race car? Thanks -

I removed the panel, relays and fuses from my 86.
Nothing bad happened. I did retain the socket for the idle b-c jumper. I also made a simple bracket to support the engine harness connector.

OK thanks - good to know. I was going to keep the black socket also - forgot about the jumper for the idle adjust (SW chip) but yes I am keeping that and will just tie it out of the way.
Bracket for the engine harness is a good idea.
