My Uncle Al owned a 69 911e targa with a S spec engine that I could have bought for $20K three years ago. I'm sold. I'll probably be hitting you up for Brumos stripes at some point Joe Bob!

Al's grills weigh a fraction of the stock plastic ones.

It felt like I had an additional 10hp when I added this grille.

That's my car's butt in the big pic

Over the years, many people have stopped to ask me about this grille. Looks terrific in person!

If I am not mistaken, that is the famous George Foreman grill. Makes great steaks and sandwiches. Before I drive I usually throw a couple of T-bones on and in 15 mins or less I have a tasty treat.

Pro tip: For quick and easy cleanup, use a drip tray or the engine will be a mess. Sorry Al.

randy,
The original grille (not original to 73, but what came with the 73...see pix)
was 2 lbs-7oz w/hardware. My new perf metal grille is 1lb-6oz with hardware. Not a lot of weight reduction, but it's up high and in the back where it counts.

Don't have it handy to weigh, because it's up in the attic over the garage. Have noticed a slight bulge in the ceiling after putting it up there......hmmm, might need to get that down.

Who knew cheesy plastic could weigh so much.

Al and his grill, are my guardian angels. Not that I will admit that I know the guy, but then few do. You are a guy, right?
