Dropped a bulb in my tach ... help
Hey guys,
I was replacing my instrument bulbs today and i managed to drop one inside my tach ... don't ask ... How do i get it out ,is it possible to open the tach without doing too much damage ? Car is a 89 911 Anybody done this before ??? Cheers ! Phil

Yes...use the procedure for changing the gauge face.
Look at "Opening up the gauges". Good luck..it's not that difficult. |

I was affraid of that ... thankfully i have a spare tach that i purchased a few years back to send to Hollywood Speedo for some damping and rework !
Guess i'll be sending it in sooner than i thought ! Cheers ! Phil

i'd just leave it in there. someone dropped one in mine that has probably been in there for decades and it's done no harm.

I friggin can openered my tach to get one of my "ETarga" Led bulbs out and since the ring is no longer original (slightly destroyed) it will be going to Hollywood Speedo for damping and custom face ...
Although with the rubber grommet it doesn't show too much ! Cheers ! Phil
